As Seventh-day Adventists we accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider this movement to be the result of the Protestant reformation. Currently, Adventists hold 28 fundamental beliefs that can be organised into six categories; the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, Who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity.
The Seventh-Day Adventist church in Preston was built in 1937. Since then, it has established a number of additional churches in Northern Melbourne. Preston's 100+ members include families, youth, children and seniors from a large variety of cultures and ethnic backgrounds, all united by their common faith and Biblical beliefs. Currently at Preston, we are blessed to have two pastors, Pr Vikram Panchal and Pr Wayne Stanley, both of which base their sermons from the Bible.
Visiting our church
Rain, hail or shine, we meet every Saturday to study and hear the word of God. Sabbath School (starting at 9:30am) includes Bible study classes, lessons and activities for all age groups. The Church Service (starting at 10:50am) includes praise and worship, along with prayer and a scripture inspired sermon. On the last Saturday of each month, a fellowship luncheon is held immediately after the service, where members and visitors can enjoy a plate of healthy food together.
